Season 1, Episode 1: ANGRY? Lina's Furious Dragon Slave!
Lina Inverse and Gourry Gabriev meet for the first time.
"How are you doing little girl?" Gourry mistakes Lina for a child during their first encounter. Lina's internal monologue is priceless.
The Dragon Slave is introduced in this episode. At the time, it is considered the most powerful in all dark magic. It is Lina's favorite spell to use, and when she loses her temper (often) she resorts to it. My personal favorite is the Ragna Blade (will show when on that arc).
Lina Inverse casts the Dragon Slave for the first time.
Season 1, Episode 2: BAD! Mummy Men Aren't My Type!
The most notable thing about this episode is that the mysterious guy comes in at the end (Zelgadis Graywords). He is my favorite character in the entire series.
Season 1, Episode 3: CRASH! Red and White and Suspicious All Over!
"You should have mentioned you had your Mummy with you." - Lina Inverse making fun of Zolf
That is my favorite line in the whole episode. After Zelgadis claimed he would pay any price for the treasure he was looking for (kept it secret which piece he wants), Lina lists such insane prices. Now they are enemies, and Rezo the Red Priest shows up at the end of the episode. You could tell Rezo is a villain just by his persistence on getting the item from Lina. I remember when I first heard Rezo say that Zelgadis wanted to resurrect Shabranigdo I was jumping up and down from my spot on the floor asking my aunt who he was? (I was a teenager at the time)
I do not want to get too much more into the episode breakdown since it is one of those animes you should watch. I do intend to make a Lina Inverse cosplay at some point and be her at a convention.
